Hello hello, I'm Zoe—the eyes (and heart) behind Stolen Sun Studio.
I’m a Kiwi photographer based on the Gold Coast, drawn to capturing the quiet magic of real life moments. My work is rooted in presence, intention, and the belief that soulful visuals can tell stories in ways words often can’t.
The natural world is the bedrock of my creativity. Whether it’s the way sunlight dapples through the forest canopy or how it beams into the iris of an eye, there’s a quiet rhythm in its presence and a noticable void in its absence. And the art of capturing it—this life-giving energy—is photography, of course. The word photography comes from the Greek photos (light) and graphé (drawing). To express the world around me through "light drawing" is to capture life's fleeting moments and turn them into visual creations—each unique to its own set of eyes. To capture life is to capture light, and that’s why I embrace these light drawings created by the sun. Stolen Sun Studio was born from this line of thought.
In a world of fast-scroll content and artificially made imagery, I choose to slow things down. Whether I’m photographing mindful brands, wellness spaces, or grounded humans just being their authentic selves, I’m always chasing that feeling: something honest, something beautifully imperfect, something true.
